About the Center for Economic Development
The primary role of the new UMW Center for Economic Development, which includes the university Small Business Development Center, is to assist the regional jurisdictions in their promotion of economic development. Established in 2011, the center will function as a central point of contact to connect UMW’s faculty and students with regional initiatives ad businesses seeking their assistance.
Located at Eagle Village, the center is also the new home of the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance, the region’s economic development marketing organization.
