Intramural Sports & Sports Clubs

The University’s Intramural Sports Program gives students an opportunity to compete against their peers in a friendly and structured environment through leagues, tournaments and special events. From UMW’s highly competitive flag football and basketball leagues to retro events like dodge ball and kickball, the university offers something for everyone.

Sports Clubs are open to all full-time UMW students, faculty and staff, regardless of skill. The clubs are designed to provide recreational, instructional and competitive opportunities.

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center is a community-oriented exercise and wellness resource facility. The 19,000 square foot center serves over 500 guests daily. It includes a variety of cardiovascular equipment, free weights and fitness equipment stations and a Wellness Resource Center.

Indoor Tennis Center

The UMW Indoor Tennis Center includes six indoor and 12 outdoor courts at the Battleground Athletic Complex.
