Victoria Matthews is the Tourism Stadium and Sports Sales Manager for the City of Fredericksburg. Her mission is to increase travel-related taxable sales through the attraction of planners interested in bringing sports, meetings, conventions, group tour and reunions to the Fredericksburg region. Victoria is also the co-curator and co-writer of the Fredericksburg Civil Rights Trail. Victoria joined the City of Fredericksburg in September 2006 and was promoted to Tourism Sales Manager in February 2017. Previous to city employment, Victoria was a meeting planner in Northern Virginia for a national trade associations and has worked domestically and internationally in the trade show industry. Victoria is a graduate of Lynchburg College and the University of Vienna, Vienna Austria with a B.A. in International Relations and German.
