Fredericksburg Economic Development Strategic Plan
The Fredericksburg Economic Development Strategic Plan was adopted by the Fredericksburg City Council on March 28, 2017 and adopted by the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority on April 10, 2017. The City Manager, Timothy Baroody and Economic Development and Tourism Director, Bill Freehling came together to endorse one single Economic Development Strategic Plan that pulls from all existing visions/plans and encapsulates the most important elements of each.
Unified Development Ordinance
Approved Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) updates and reorganizes land development regulations into a single unified ordinance.
The Comprehensive Plan acts as a guide when making important land use, transportation, public service, and community facility decisions.
We are pleased to share with you this statistical report showing key metrics on how the City of Fredericksburg economy fared in the third quarter of 2017. You will find information on the residential and commercial real estate markets, new business activity, labor market data and more. We are particularly enthused by the significant decreases in commercial vacancy rates for office and industrial properties, as well as the continued gains in commercial tax revenues, strengthening of hotel data and increases in jobs. And you will find in this report a list of all the great new businesses that have chosen the City of Fredericksburg.
