Fredericksburg Economic Development Strategic Plan

The Fredericksburg Economic Development Strategic Plan was adopted by the Fredericksburg City Council on March 28, 2017 and adopted by the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority on April 10, 2017. The City Manager, Timothy Baroody and Economic Development and Tourism Director, Bill Freehling came together to endorse one single Economic Development Strategic Plan that pulls from all existing visions/plans and encapsulates the most important elements of each.

Unified Development Ordinance

Approved Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) updates and reorganizes land development regulations into a single unified ordinance.

Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Plan acts as a guide when making important land use, transportation, public service, and community facility decisions.

Tourism Study

In the summer of 2019, DMOproz spent time in Fredericksburg and the region to gain a better understanding of the destination and its stakeholders. DMOproz was selected to advise the City of Fredericksburg on the efficacy of its current program and ways to enhance its tourism efforts, Tourism 2020:  Findings and Recommendations for the City of Fredericksburg was adopted by City Council in February 2020.
