Michelle is a resilient, tenacious advocate for homeownership; she puts the work in.  A Realtor since 1992, Michelle Caldwell Thompson is a professional who is willing to share her business acumen with her peers, colleagues, competitors, and all who are committed to bringing housing solutions, real estate education, and financing solutions to underserved communities, 1st-time home-buyers, and all who desire viable housing solutions.

First Job: 

As a young person, I worked as a ward clerk at Miracle Hill Nursing Home in Tallahassee, Florida. It was an opportunity to engage, learn and serve in a multi-generational environment.  This experience highlighted the need for adequate housing for an aging population.

People I Admire: 

A local hero I deeply admire is Mrs. Janice Davies; the wife of Rev. Lawrence A Davis- former Mayor of Fredericksburg.  Mrs. Davies is a Quiet Storm, who led by example as a community advocate, source of inspiration, and role model and mentor for many; including me.

Best Life Experience: 

My best life experiences center around building a life with my dedicated husband of over 30 years. From meeting Troy Thompson at an Atlantic Starr concert to sharing a college experience, getting married, having children, and starting a real estate business together to becoming grandparents, affectionally known as "Mimi and Bubba"; Family Time makes everything better.

What Makes Me Passionate About My Work: 

As a solutions-oriented person, real estate is deeply satisfying. The tangible experience of helping someone purchase a primary home or an investment property that can enhance their financial stability for generations to come is awe-inspiring. Showing new investors how to leverage their rental properties to pursue their goals is rewarding.  Teaching real estate pre-licensing classes gives me immense joy; knowing that I am playing a small part in ensuring the next generation of real estate professionals is well-equipped to serve our communities is a blessing.

Something I’d Never Do Again: 

I can't imagine a circumstance that I would work outside of the real estate industry. When a vocation and advocation align, beautiful outcomes are born.

Favorite Vacation Spot: 

For our Family, #LOVEFXBG, is more than a hashtag. Greater Fredericksburg is a beautiful place to live and work. Whether it is tours of the battlefields in Spotsylvania, leisurely afternoons at Fredericksburg's Riverfront Park, or a day trip to Washington DC, or Richmond, Virginia.  Fredericksburg, VA is the "home base" for the Thompson Family.  When not at home in our region... I love to visit the quaint town of my youth, Quincy, Florida.  Quincy is 18 miles from the Florida/Georgia line; it boosts a population of approximately 7,500.
