      New microbrewery coming to Fredericksburg with help from EDA and State funding

      A microbrewery is set to expand in Fredericksburg with help from state and local grants.

      Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe traveled to Fredericksburg on September 29 to announce that Strangeways Brewing had received a $150,000 grant from the Governor's Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development (AFID) Fund. Read More

       


      Rappahannock River and City trail popularity leads to business & nonprofits growth

      "Being able to walk along the river on Riverside Drive...what a treat! From the day the trail opened down here, a cross-section of people from the Fredericksburg area all of a sudden were walking by the front door of Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR)," FOR Executive Director Kathleen Harrigan said.
